ThriveCru

Welcome to ThriveCru

TriveCru is a close-knit group of passionate volunteers who was brought together by their love for the people in their community on Sydney’s northern beaches and beyond.

We use principles of Circular Economy and Sustainability initiatives to support the vulnerable, especially those affected by abuse. ThriveCru commits to a 12-week period helping you get back on your feet. The idea is for us all to encourage each other, enhancing a brighter future for everyone in the Northern regions of Sydney.

In every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to be healed. In every heart, there is the power to do it¨

Volunteering for ThriveCru changed my life, I have made a beautiful bunch of friends. I have also discovered my passion in life is to help women who have experienced trauma in their lives

Thank you, ThriveCru, for all support given to International Students during these difficult times. Without your support and assistance, we were going to be in a harder and more challenging situation. Once again thank you and God Bless you all

Very exciting! I've been doing compost for about 5 years and would love to contribute to the project. The secret is to regularly mix in a layer of dry ingredients like shredded paper, dry leaves (I avoid strong types like pine and eucalyptus), or my favourite is pea straw. It gives the mix the balance between dry and wet components. Otherwise you produce something that looks like quince paste (I did the first year 😬)

I thank God every day for the blessing of the ThriveCru boxes. They definitely help to bridge the gap in our budget and are often exactly what we need. It also means we’re able to share and invite folks over without breaking the budget. But It's also a bit like Master Chef’s mystery box challenge - I love having to be creative with what God provides - and have often surprised myself with the end result! Nothing is wasted as the chooks also win! Bless you for all the love, time and effort that goes into it all and we pray huge blessings on the new initiatives for many of the hurting families- May they all come to know Jesus! Much love & God bless ✝️

She would bring her car to the school I work at every Monday and give me this extraordinary box of goodies - Fruit and Veg, sometimes meat - and that was such an extraordinary blessing to me and my Family...It just blew my mind that I wouldn't have to worry about shopping for that week and would have meals I could just throw together. Knowing I was supported by Liana and her team was just unreal

I am moved by this act of charity which is extended not just to an individual but to many in the community

We basically went from food rescue in 2018, which was very much driven by not having food wasted, and then when COVID came it really became people rescue... Now we give people food, but we find it´s not about the food - it´s about the people. It´s completely gone from being a food-rescue operation to people-rescue centre
